We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Cardiac Telemetry RN to join our team in Scranton, PA. As a Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, performing, and evaluating nursing activities to meet the needs of the patient. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for promoting safety, maximizing patient satisfaction, and providing expert care to patients with cardiac medical and interventional needs.

Qualifications:

Graduate from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
Basic Life Support Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania
Must have strong telemetry experience, including post cardiac cath, post PCI, and post ablation, pacemaker and AICD insertion
Experience with TIA and stroke care, syncope, arrhythmia management, and 12 lead EKG interpretation
BLS and ACLS required

Responsibilities:
Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards
Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family throughout the continuum of care
Formulate, coordinate, and provide a plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization with members of the interdisciplinary team
Provide direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure
Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise plan of care based upon patient response to interventions
Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members and act to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs
Problem solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures in the care and handling of equipment
Participate in unit-based decision-making regarding the utilization of evidence-based practice
Actively participate as a team member working toward team goals of the unit and organization and be accountable for unit and system-specific metrics
