Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include identification of signs and symptoms that signal appropriateness for SLP examination and also the actual examination, evaluation, planning, organizing, and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients. Participates in case conferences and discharge planning. Develops and implements developmentally and culturally appropriate education to meet needs of patient and family. Communicates effectively with other patient care team members and coordinates care provided. Coordinates/supervises student clinical educational

Qualifications:
Education

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required

Experience

• 2 years of experience required

Licenses and Certifications

• SLP - State of California Speech Language Pathologist License required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

Incumbents who obtained a California Speech Language Pathologist License prior to 1993 will be grandfathered in with their existing education.
