Receptionist

Part Time - Days/Evenings

United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Receptionist for our Pitman Community.

Senior Living in Gloucester County at our UMC senior community in Pitman, New Jersey, is truly integrated into the life of the town. We are part of a beautiful residential neighborhood, near to highways and public transportation with easy access to both Philadelphia as well as the Jersey Shore.

Receptionists operate the front desk switchboard, greets the public and provides information, represents UMC in the best way possible and monitors building and grounds to ensure proper security and safety conditions.

Requirements for a Receptionist:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of general clerical, telephone & typing experience.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with company policy.
  • Ability to use common office equipment such as: telephone, fax machine, computer and copier.
  • Computer programs including MS Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities for a Receptionist:

  • Operates switchboard and answers all incoming calls in a timely/professional manner.
  • Makes scheduled walkthroughs performing various activities such as turning off lights/fans, securing exterior doors, etc. and is alert to any breach of security.
  • Reports any unusual conditions or malfunctions of building. i.e., heat, plumbing, electrical systems, etc. and notifies appropriate personnel.
  • Manage emergency response call system.
  • Greets visitors and ascertains the nature of their visit; directs visitors appropriately.
  • Various clerical duties as assigned. May open, sort and distribute and distribute mail. Hands out employment applications.
  • Maintains all logs related to front desk activities.
  • Monitors security cameras.
