SUMMARY Responsible for receiving in shipments to include containers, trucks and small parcels. Also, will assist in purchasing and inventory as need arises.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Inbound Receiving, Containers and Trucks.
  • Small Packaging Receiving.
  • Help keep inventory on items that are not in the system. PPE, Flim, Tape and other misc. items that help keep the plant running.
  • Quarterly inventory.
  • Performs related job duties as required or asked of by the Purchasing Manager / Purchasing Supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience in receiving/clerical accounting.


Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple

correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to

customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform

these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory

software; SAP Manufacturing software; Microsoft Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret reports.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to calculate figures and amount.
  • Must be organized.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with minimum supervision.
