The Opportunity
Laser Peening Quality Inspector
We are a worldwide metal surface treatment company with an opening in its Livermore, CA facility for a Quality Control Inspector position. This is a high-tech shop environment. We use high energy lasers to treat critical metal components used in the aerospace industry.
Location: Livermore, CA
Shift: Second: 3pm-11pm. Training on first shift.
Salary: $21.68-$26/hour

Your Challenge:

Performing incoming quality control inspections, set-up, in-process, and final QC inspections, including visually identifying imperfections.

Performing measurements with calipers, height gages, etc..

Determining if characteristics meet specifications and follow-up accordingly.

Documenting and communicating non-conformances, reviewing computer generated reports.

Participating in activities such as production, calibration, internal auditing, data collection, etc.

Supporting numerous product lines and activities throughout a workday. Flexibility and multitasking are key.

Performing work that requires bending, sitting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lb.
Your Expertise:

1-3 years of experience in a QC environment.

Must be proficient in basic math, reading and understanding instructions.

Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality systems is preferred.

Experience with production or aerospace related industry.

Must pass a standard eye examination. Near vision: Snellen 14/18 or better (20/25 or better, Jaeger Type 2 at 14 inches or greater, Ortho Rater 8 or equivalent).
