Salary:
$250,000 - $382,700 starting, DOE.

This position has an opportunity for hybrid work; must live in CA or be willing to relocate.

The Clinical Psychiatrist works as a member of an integrated primary care/behavioral health team to provide outpatient psychiatric services to a diverse population within a community health care setting. Places a focus on serving Medi-Cal, Medicare and Native American patients.

Psychiatrist

  • Provide direct psychiatric services through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, including prescribing and administering medications.
  • Provide professional consultation to staff, participate in staff conferences, and serve on clinical committees.
  • Oversees Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
  • Obtains and evaluate data. Complete necessary medical records and reports.
  • Provide psychiatric coverage throughout the agency as necessary during operating hours.
  • Participate in quality assurance, educational, and professional committees as assigned.
  • Serve as psychiatric consultant to behavioral health and medical providers.
  • Coordinate psychiatric services with other behavioral health activities.

Experience and Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy; Board Certified preferred. Degree from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Completion of psychiatric residency.
  • Experience with utilizing an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to participate in service delivery with an interdisciplinary team.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Must be able to relate, understand and have cultural competency in working with American Indians.
  • Must be able to work at both the Auburn and Grass Valley clinics.
  • Current and in good standing: CDL, proof of vehicle insurance and DMV printout.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience treating children, adolescents and adults preferred.
