Cape Fox Facilities Services is seeking a Property Technician to support the NIH located in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the process of decaling new accountable and non-accountable property
  • Coordinate and conduct decaling of new accountable and non-accountable equipment/property
  • Ensures that all property transactions are accurately entered into the Property Management Information System (PMIS) and substantiating documents are created and maintained
  • Act as Property Custodian for custodial code; maintain the whereabouts of all property for inventory; complete all overages of equipment to keep the NBS system up to date; ensure that equipment has the correct users assigned to them
  • Reviews PMIS and other databases to research missing items, misclassified documents, inappropriate entries, etc., and takes corrective support and assistance to the Property Accountability Officer during property inventory, including but not limited to, assisting property custodians, locating missing inventory scanning property items and running reports
  • Assist in all aspects of reconciling reports including inactive, disputes, undecaled, and ROS
  • Creates and maintains periodic reports that cover procurement, acquisition, utilization, value and disposition of government property
  • Assist IC Property Accountability Officer in the annual inventories onsite and offsite; assist with shortage and overage reports
  • Maintain/generate property management reports; prepare periodic and special reports as requested by the NIH Property Management Officer
  • Assists with advising and training staff to ensure that government property policies and responsibilities are being followed. Assist staff with surplusing equipment
  • Assist in closing down labs or offices
  • Assist IC Property Accountability Officer with property related tasks as necessary Provide guidance and training to Property Custodial Officers (PCOs); audit PCOs for compliance with property management records; monitor the day-to-day updating and maintenance of capitalized accountable property records for the use of the property system

Requirements:

  • High school diploma (Associate's preferred)
  • Experience with supply and equipment requisitions/acquisitions
  • Experience with tracking and inventory reconciliation
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
