Project Manager (DHS CBP Strategic Communication and Coordination) - Hybrid Job at Constant Associates

Our team is growing and seeks to hire a Project Manager (PM) to support the Department of Homeland Security Customs & Border Protection (DHS CBP). The Project Manager shall provide support to the Enterprise Services (ES) Executive Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Executive Assistant Commissioner, and Front Office with specialized knowledge and skills, maturing the Executive Secretariat Taskings and Strategic Communications by focusing on CBP's most important asset: People. This position will be in Washington, D.C. onsite at the Ronald Regan Building and may offer a hybrid work schedule to include a scheduled number of days working onsite combined with a scheduled number of days working from home each week.


This Is What You'll Do

This person will ultimately serve as the right-hand to the Executive Officer, requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly identify solutions for the challenges that can and will arise. Here are responsibilities of this position:

  • Serve as the team lead, responsible for supporting the growth and performance of a team of analysts with high-level visibility across a fast-paced mission support office.
  • Act as an advisor who can support the Executive Officer in managing an efficient and effective communications program.
  • Leverage solutions to ES complex human capital requirements, training, building, and developing an engaged, mission-ready ES workforce.
  • Integrate the Executive Secretariat and Communications teams to focus on increasing employee engagement and executing the various change management efforts required to engage ES employees.
  • Draft and distribute cross-organizational communications to improve brand awareness and organizational transparency.
  • Manage the ES Communications Community of Practice (COP) to gather and share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Review program progress, measuring performance and take necessary corrective steps to modify actions, products, or services to ensure compliance with policies or to provide improved results and process improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This Is What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's in business or related field and at least eight (8) years of general project management experience with (3) years specialized experience; specialized experience must include: strategic planning on an executive level, stakeholder coordination and communication planning, and program performance.
  • Local travel may be required.
  • Federal experience is a plus.
  • Work performed under this task order is sensitive in nature. Must be able to clear a background investigation and receive and maintain an interim and full Public Trust clearance.
  • Current HHS/CBP Public Trust Clearance preferred
  • U.S. Citizen.
