Project Engineer

Jackson, Minnesota - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Jackson, Minnesota.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

  • Lead Design Engineering NPI project team using robust and consistent processes to achieve committed targets for projects.
  • Develop multi-year project plans including schedules and budgets.
  • Track project deliverables and expenses to ensure quality, financial and time metrics are met.
  • Coordinate case analysis and new product specifications with the Design Engineering teams and align with cross functional departments.
  • Conduct Design Engineering project control meetings and update project plans; schedule and budget estimates.
  • Compile and present periodic project status reports to inter-departmental teams and management.
  • Organize and facilitate Design Engineering reviews as well as DFMEA sessions.
  • Coordinate the development of an initial project Bill of Materials and validation requirements.
  • Develop and implement new processes to improve timing, quality and cost of NPI projects.
  • Communicate with Application Design Engineering sites globally to ensure global alignment.
  • Direct leadership of significant projects and a small team of engineers.
  • Represent Engineering in cross-functional project teams and meetings.
  • Work cooperatively with and provide direction to NPI design teams.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a team setting, leading a group of engineers.
  • 5+ years on engineering assignments to gain a mastery of complex engineering and manufacturability concepts.
  • Ability to motivate and positively influence individuals and groups with or without holding direct authority.
