Job Summary: The Registered Nurse specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide specialized care to patients in the designated unit, monitoring their conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The nurse will utilize their expertise in PCU nursing to deliver high-quality patient care.

Description:

• Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Requires ACLS and BLS certifications
• 18 months of Acute Care/PCU experience required; 2 years preferred

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse with FL/Compact Licensure
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required (must have them by the time of submittal)
• 18 months of Acute Care/PCU experience is required; 2 years preferred
• Proficient in performing PCU nursing interventions and assessments
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and progressive care practices
• Ability to float between three hospitals within a 20-mile radius (Martin North, South, Tradition) including COVID units and ED hold
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Flu vaccine is required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

• This is a 13-week contract position
• The nurse will work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• The shift is during the night, with 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• The nurse may need to float between three hospitals within a 20-mile radius
