Luxor Staffing is hiring Punch Press Operator paying $17 per hour with 1st shift available. Weekly pay, possible overtime, incentive and bonus programs, optional direct deposit, benefits from day 1 on the job and much more!
Shift Hours: 1st shift 6am - 2:30pm with overtime if required.
The punch operator ensures that the machine is set up properly, functioning well, and producing quality product. He or she runs the machine and adjusts it to control speed, material feed and the punching process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Produce parts for assembly operations that require shear and turret punch.
- Safely perform loading and unloading of sheet metal. Change tools and select required machine programs that ensure the quality and productivity.
- Work safely utilizing proper protective equipment and following all safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all manufacturing inventory control procedures and additional paperwork as required.
- Learn other appropriate manufacturing job functions and serve as back up in other areas when required.
- Assist with machine preventive maintenance using proper lock out/tag out procedures as required.
- Meet or exceed productivity per company standards and document downtime and up-time data as required.
Qualifications:
- Must have 2+ years of punch experience and be familiar with Amada Turret Punches.
- A basic understanding of programming is a plus
- Experience in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement manufacturing environment is helpful.
- Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure, calipers, and others as required.
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
