We are located at 127 Main Street in Medford, Massachusetts.

General Overview

Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Practice Assistant Team Lead is responsible for training both new and existing employees, answering incoming phone calls, and handling patients' needs in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Train both new and existing practice assistant employees
  • Act as a go to for new and existing employees’ issues with the Epic EHR.
  • Act as liaison for nurse triage
  • Process and follow up on prior authorizations
  • Works on various tasks as assigned by Practice Manager
  • Retrieve messages from answering service and respond to messages accordingly
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, scheduling appointments
  • Handle difficult patients in the office, on phone calls and messages in a calm polite manner
  • Print and process letters or documents to be sent to patients
  • Employee must be cross trained to back up the check in or check out desk to greet patients
  • Obtain appropriate demographic information, confirm insurance eligibility, and process paperwork accordingly in the EHR system
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist required.
  • Must have recent EPIC EMR experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
