Job Summary
Drive strategic quality, performance and operational improvement initiatives to successful and sustainable completion. Partner in creating and sustaining inter-related process and procedural systems that drive quality as defined by STEEEP, specifically safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and patient-centered. Requires strong leadership skills and Just Culture principles to drive objective and demonstrable improvement collaboratively with senior leadership sponsors and process owners. Requires local (45-mile radius) travel regularly to perform duties at all enterprise locations, including two hospitals as well as throughout hospital outpatient services and 19 clinical service sites.

Essential Functions
Design, direct and manage projects thoroughly, professionally and with excellent customer service, on time and within budget that drive quality-centered (STEEEP) performance measures. Partner in creating and sustaining cross-departmental and multi-disciplinary process and procedural systems that drive quality in everyday workflow. Align work with senior leadership. Present and report project progress and results regularly to leadership. Employ formal project processes, such as but not limited to charters, project plans, and trending process, outcome and balancing metrics as well as tracking resources and financial expenditures. Conduct meaningful and timely assessments to objectively measure plan progression and impact of improvement activities. Necessitates robust data analysis skills and a knowledge of relational data sets to produce meaningful and useful data intelligence. Provide leadership and coaching to directors, managers and other colleagues as needed to be successful in achieving desired project outcomes. Anticipate and identify problems; design, analyze, quantify and recommend potential solutions. Define, quantify and report business implications of potential solutions, especially the impact of action and the associated opportunity costs. Allocate and promote allocation and structure of resources to successfully implement and sustain improvements. Adheres to all SRH and department specific policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, leadership or related subject required. Master’s degree preferred. Just Culture education desired. Lean, A3 Problem-Solving and / or Six Sigma education desired. Formal leadership education strongly preferred. Crucial Conversations, Fierce or similar formal verbal communication program completion preferred.

Experience/Training
Previous clinical or patient-facing experience required. Previous experience and proven success in leading improvement events required, e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analyses. Five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory and/or leadership role strongly preferred. Five (5) years of healthcare-related experience strongly preferred. A3 problem-solving experience desired.

License/Certification
Certification in Lean, A3 Problem-Solving or Six Sigma strongly preferred.

Other Qualifications
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required. Proficient data analysis skills and utilization of Microsoft Excel required. Must be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Office and other computer applications to perform work. Must possess the ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple form. Must be highly analytical with a strong grasp of both quantitative and qualitative data. Ability to plan, coordinate and prioritize while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy. Must be able to learn unfamiliar concepts quickly. Capable of independent thinking. Must have the ability to develop and maintain positive, service-oriented relationships with all levels of healthcare professionals. Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of position.
