PEER COUNSELOR - Part Time

Mt. Vernon, WA

Compass Health is currently looking for a Peer Counselor for our Program of Assertive Community Treatment team (PACT).

The program operates with a strength-based and person-centered approach and is targeted to individuals with severe behavioral health disorders who exhibit continuous high service needs, who have experienced multiple inpatient psychiatric hospitalizations, and who have been unable to benefit from more traditional outpatient behavioral healthcare.

PACT services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team that includes mental health professionals, a psychiatric prescriber, nurses, a substance use disorder specialist, a vocational specialist, peer counselors, and community support specialists. The entire PACT team carries the caseload rather than an individual clinician. The majority of services are provided in the client’s home or other community settings. Clients are seen several times per week, and sometimes multiple times per day, in order to promote stabilization and recovery.
