Overview:
The Parts Counter - Will Call position is responsible for the accurate fulfillment of will-call orders upon customer arrival. This position is responsible for the maintenance of aging will-call orders and keeping the overall will-call area organized and running efficiently. This position also provides back-up for the parts front and back counters as needed. Position would be good for those looking for an entry position into Heavy Duty Parts.

Responsibilities:
Job Summary
  • Invoice and provide will-call parts to customers upon arrival.
  • Fulfill parts orders from stock and place orders in assigned will-call locations as needed.
  • Maintain will-call storage locations and process aging will-call orders.
  • Assist front and back counter as needed.
  • Ownership of parts counter training and development.
  • Ensure work area is safe, organized, and clean from debris.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify purchasing agent when below standard stocking levels.
  • Utilize appropriate hand tools to safely open crates and other containers.
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory as needed.
  • Ensure inventory is properly maintained by following and completing adjustment slips.
  • Assist in sorting and placing parts on racks, shelves or in bins according to company procedures and move parts to designated areas as needed.
  • Other duties as business needs require.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Other: Must be able to operate a computer. Fork-lift experience preferred but not required.
Experience: 1 – 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving preferred but not required, material handling and warehousing practices, and computerized inventory control systems preferred but not required. Reach lift experience preferred but not required.
Skills: Must be professional and safety minded. Service oriented attitude. Excellent communication both verbal and written, listening skills. Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Able to work with minimal supervision and direction. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Job Conditions
Physical: Requires lifting up to 75 lbs. Unrestricted walking and standing, climbing, stretching, reaching, bending, squatting, walking, and some stairs.
Environmental: Indoors with occasional outdoor duties. Shop/warehouse environment with expected noise and odors.
Hours: Sunday 7AM-5PM, Mon-Wed 10AM - 8:30PM
