The Parks Groomer/Builder Equipment Operator will be an essential member of Woodward Park City's Parks, Parks and Innovative Environments team, reporting to the Woodward Park City Parks Manager. The successful applicant will build and maintain reasonably safe, innovative, and constant terrain produced by the Parks, Innovative Environments team. While safely operating and maintaining equipment assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support internal and external build teams with innovative problem solving and equipment operating
  • Assist in maintenance, repairs and construction of parks
  • Implement maintenance plans
  • Plan, execute, coordinate, build assignments
  • Supply quality and productive feed back to the team.
  • Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks of equipment assigned
  • Safely operate snowcat and equipment assigned
  • Schedule service and maintenance needs of equipment
  • Participates in training and safety courses
  • Support Snowmaking plan
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and learn new skills as needed.
Requirements:
Preferred Skills:
  • 3-5 year ski area operations experience
  • 2-4 snowcat/heavy equipment experience
  • 1-2 years freestyle terrain experience
  • Basic understanding of Snowmaking
  • Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to lead teams in achieving goals.
Basic Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Basic knowledge of snowcat/heavy equipment maintenance and operation.
  • Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnights.
  • Willing to travel as needed.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted.
