Painters Assistants Job at Hi-Vac Corporation
Hi-Vac Corporation, located in Marietta Ohio, is seeking candidates to fill the position of Painters Assistants in the Paint Department in the manufacturing facility. The Painters Assistant assists the Painters, preps parts to be painted, operates blasting booth to clean parts and inspects parts for the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing equipment for painting (i.e., cleaning and preparing surfaces and applying masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated).
- Inspecting quality of parts.
- Filling cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
- Cleaning paint booth, conveyor, hoses, spray heads, brushes and nozzles.
- Appropriately disposing of paint waste and hazardous materials.
- Communicating with the floor supervisor regarding the schedule.
- Operating blasting booth to prepare parts.
- Ability to run a forklift.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent.
- Experience with Autobody or paint a plus.
- Forklift experience a plus but not required.
