Our client is seeking a Packaging Coordinator to join their planning team in the Tampa, FL area. This individual will lead the company’s current packaging return program and facilitate accountability across the entire customer base including interactions with all manufacturing operations that make up the North American Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate monthly customer credit adjustments for dunnage returns.
  • Investigate and resolve missing or questionable Smartsheet entries.
  • Reconcile differences between the company and the customer.
  • Coordinate with finance balance sheet reconciliations including the return to income the cost of dunnage lost.
  • Work with CSR’s for credit issuance.
  • Ensure the dunnage return centers are following correct procedures and reporting accurately.
  • Ensure documents are completed in full that are included in the dunnage return.
  • Ensure proper evidence is gathered, including photos, to support dunnage claims.
  • Approve returns.
  • Evaluate potential claims and issue emails with explanation and backup documentation for debits.
  • Inform commercial immediately of excessively egregious customer returns, customer recidivism, dangerous loads, and offensive patterns of behavior.
  • Maintain and update Smartsheet tables.
  • Ensure LTL’s collect costs are charged back to customer.
  • Follow up with commercial and CSR’s billing issues for dunnage claims.
  • Monthly reporting and meetings with commercial to review claims.
  • Customer contact for dunnage questions and training.
  • Train new company and 3PL personnel on the dunnage return process and Smartsheet system.
  • Audit dunnage return locations.
  • Collaborate to improve logistics of dunnage return.
  • Collect and Report non-conformance by customer.
  • Reporting of KPI’s.
  • Answer questions and inquiries from internal/external stakeholders with respect to process and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in business, logistics, accounting/finance, operations research, or related area
  • 3+ years of experience in a Production Planning/Logistics/Materials handling role
  • Certificates in APICS, CPSM, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing preferred
  • Knowledge of AS-400 and SAP preferred
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office with specific emphasis on Excel, Access, and Word
  • Ability to develop processes, train end users, and implement projects to completion
  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
  • Demonstrated project management, time management, and organizational skills
