Your responsibilities

The NEW Order Fulfillment Specialist II - PLATE will coordinate the organization's supply chain in support of the order fulfillment function. Develop the processing plan to satisfy customer demand of non-transactional orders (in combination with transactional orders) for fulfillment in a timely and accurate manner. Provide Operations with a monthly /weekly processing plan consistent with processing capacity and sales forecasts / orders

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assess order change requests and ensure optimal use of capacity, resource, and material in a low volume / high mix processing environment
  • Create a rolling 13-week Processing Plan for designated orders. Estimate the Processing capacity, taking into consideration the sales orders, historical sales, and new business opportunities.
  • Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Processing Plan, including Processing lead times (backlogs)
  • Generate weekly Processing orders to support the Processing Plan and coordinate timing of releases with the Logistician to integrate Planned Orders and Transactional Orders based on constraints and required completion dates
  • Confirm labor/material and job completion reporting of completed jobs for accuracy. Track order completions and “waterfall” the processing capacity and hours estimates
  • Review inventory quarter highlighting areas of concern with Sales and Supply Chain & support the SIOP process meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, and supply plan to actual
  • Review sales orders in Yalmlola with Sales/Supply Chain/Operations and recommend

changes/modifications to production planning for hours required

  • Timely reporting of key metrics
  • Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements

Role Specific Key Accountabilities

Work closely with PLT0 Planner, Supervisors, Logistician, Transportation, Planner, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Supply Chain, schedule Processing of YVA, Kanban, 149’s and Blanket Orders · Upon receipt of work order determine if remnants are available to complete job or new material is required; manages cut pieces (remnant inventory) · Assign material to work order · Ensure coordination with Processing supervisors to execute the Schedule on a weekly and monthly basis

Qualifications:

  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes, procedures, planning, demand and replenishment processes
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong communicator with the ability to convey complex issues – both written and verbal – at all levels including meetings as the presenter
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that may arise from balancing multiple priorities
  • Collaborator with well-developed interpersonal skills; comfortable working in a collaborative diverse, and cross-functional work environment
  • Results and detailed oriented and well-organized professional

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2 or more years of Processing (Production) scheduling experience
  • 4 or more years of Processing (Production) experience
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office 365

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient level skills in Microsoft Excel
  • SAP proficiency in a non-MRP environment (job shop experience)
