Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind is hiring a Part-Time/Consultant Optometrist to work in Montgomery County, Maryland, and the surrounding area. The Optometrist will act as a representative for our brand and will help educate and refer clients to treatment services.

Since 1900, CLB's mission has been promoting independence for people who are blind or visually impaired. We provide a comprehensive range of programs and services for the nearly 180,000 people in Maryland, DC, and Virginia who are blind or visually impaired. Essential Functions:

• Provide comprehensive eye exams, refractions, and prescriptions to school-age students.
• Conduct routine eye examinations, including visual field tests.
• Evaluate eye-related symptoms, such as discharge, redness, and inflammation.
• Educate patients on proper eye care and refer clients to treatment services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.).
• State of Maryland professional license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience.
