Overview:

Work with Network Managers across multiple departments to provide and maintain highly specialized information technology solutions. In a senior level position, serve as liaison between end users and Network resources.

Elicit, analyze and document the business needs of project stakeholders in developing detailed business requirements for new and existing systems and/or network elements. Use communication, analytical and problem-solving skills during the system development life cycle to maximize the benefit of Network systems and company resources.

Qualifications:
Network Engineer I
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Degree/Certificate in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Applicable entry-level knowledge of common network technologies at OSI Layer 2 required
  • CCNA level certification preferred
  • Strong oral and written communications skills required.
  • Background must demonstrate the ability to operate within a complex, dynamic environment.
Network Engineer II
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Degree/Certificate in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Applicable entry-level knowledge of common network technologies at OSI Layer 3 required. Advanced knowledge of common network technologies at OSI Layer 2 required
  • CCNA level certification preferred
  • Strong oral and written communications skills required.
  • Background must demonstrate the ability to operate within a complex, dynamic environment.
Network Engineer III
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Degree/Certificate in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Applicable entry-level knowledge of network technology meshing required. Example: Combining C/DWDM technology networks with typical IP MPLS technology networks to form a complete deployment
  • Advanced knowledge of common network technologies at OSI Layer 3 required. Advanced knowledge of common network technologies at OSI Layer 2 required
  • Applicable knowledge of IP MPLS networks with a preferred experience in Timos
  • CCNA level certification or. NRS I preferred
  • Strong oral and written communications skills required.
  • Background must demonstrate the ability to operate within a complex, dynamic environment.
Network Engineer IV
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Degree/Certificate in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Advanced and applicable knowledge of network technology meshing required. Example: Combining C/DWDM technology networks with typical IP MPLS technology networks to form a complete deployment
  • Advanced knowledge of common network technologies at OSI Layer 3 required. Advanced knowledge of common network technologies at OSI Layer 2 required
  • Advanced applicable knowledge of IP MPLS networks with a preferred experience with Timos
  • Advanced knowledge of MPLS MVPN components and deployments
  • Maintains critical abilities to troubleshoot, diagnose and mitigate issues in an IP MPLS environment as well as perform break/fix activities when the need arises
  • Possesses leadership potential and displays such potential to influence others and grow their knowledge
  • CCNP certification preferred. NRS II certification preferred
  • Strong oral and written communications skills required.
  • Background must demonstrate the ability to operate within a complex, dynamic
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to sit for long periods and use computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing computer screen. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule shared by other department members that may include both normal and differential shift schedules
