Aon is looking for an .Net Full Stack Developer

Aon Consulting, Inc., an Aon Corporation company, seeks a .Net Full Stack Developer based out of headquarters in Chicago, Illinois to develop software solutions. Design, develop, and implement software solutions across the full development stack (front-end, middle-tier, and back-end).

Your impact as an .Net Full Stack Developer

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and build code for web and cloud applications according to the User Stories in an Agile work environment.
  • Support project planning activities by estimating and evaluating risks and prioritizing needs based on technical requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise to team members. Conduct root cause analysis and resolution of software application bug fixes in production and test environments.
  • Partner with UI/UX designers to ensure that developed websites match mockups and prototypes.
  • Participate in formal code reviews to ensure that technical standards are being met.
  • Build and maintain cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent across all browsers and platforms.
  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand Ups, Retrospectives, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Review.
  • Maintain and advance proficiency in software development standard methodologies, tools, and techniques as technologies evolve.
  • Utilize SQL Server (including stored procedures, queries, views, and triggers), JavaScript, TFS or Git, NUnit, and AJAX.
  • Provide ongoing software application support and troubleshooting. Program using C# and .NET. May work from home 5 days per week.
  • All positions require an applicant who has accepted an offer to undergo a background check.
You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus two years (or Bachelor’s degree plus five progressive years) of software development experience.
    • Must have at least two years of experience in each of the following:
Designing, developing, and implementing software solutions across the full development stack (front-end, middle-tier, and back-end);
Developing and building code for web and cloud applications in an Agile work environment;
Conducting root cause analysis and resolution of software application bug fixes in production and test environments;
Participating in formal code reviews to ensure that technical standards are being met;
Building and maintaining cascading style sheets (CSS);
Utilizing SQL Server (including stored procedures, queries, views, and triggers), JavaScript, TFS or Git, NUnit, and AJAX; and
Programming using C# and .NET.
