Overview:

Global Payroll Manager- HRIS- Human Resources- Benefits Manager- SHRM- Payroll Processing

We are seeking a Payroll & Benefits Director to manage and oversee the administration of all payroll functions for approximately 5,000+ employees in a rapidly expanding cannabis company. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, designing and implementing programs that attract and retain top talent, and providing leadership to the payroll and benefits team.

Pay: $135,000-$150,000 annually

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

Location: Desert Hot Springs, CA (Onsite)

Duties:

• Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures.
• Work closely with other units within HR, and departments outside of HR.
• Create bi-weekly, monthly, and other reports for management as required.
• Manage and respond to all audits requests - internal and external relating to payroll.
• Review and approve requests for manual payroll checks and payments for vendors.
• Review and make recommendations for alternate payroll software as we consider changing payroll providers.
• Responsible for annual accrual entries.
• Related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• SHRM Certified a plus
• Experienced managing payroll on a national scale.
• Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes.
• Experience processing and managing payroll for up to 5,000 employees.
• Experience as head of payroll or director of payroll preferred with strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per hour
