Valley Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Milieu Manager to join our team!

As an active member of the Management Team, the Milieu Manager directly supervises Lead Behavioral Health Technicians, Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) and is responsible for the overall functioning of the milieu, which includes all inpatient services and ongoing resolution of staff and patient needs or complaints. The Milieu Manager coordinates care with other departments, including Intake, Clinical Services and Quality and Risk Management.

Hours: Monday – Friday; 8am – 4:30pm

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health related field or equivalent work experience
  • At least one (1) year inpatient experience
  • Must be 21 years of age to be a Milieu Manager
  • Prefer three (3) years ‘experience working with psychiatric and chemical dependency population.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing supervision to the BHT’s and the related programs and activities.
  • Identify and resolve staffing needs.
  • Responsible for the ongoing education of BHT and Lead BHT
  • Directly manages the business operations of the milieu.
  • Coordinates assignments among BHTs and Lead BHT’s concerning patient admissions and discharges; communicates with nursing staff and Intake to ensure patient needs and unit needs can be met.
