We achieve this through providing thorough substance abuse and mental health assessments, Individualized Treatment, and Family involvement. Outpatient and intensive outpatient therapy services are available for adults and levels of care for adolescents range from Residential treatment through outpatient treatment.

EDUCATION :
    • Master's level graduate degree
    • Adolescent Substance Use and/or Mental Health treatment experience: 1 years (Required)
    • License/Certification: LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW License OR Register Intern in the state of FL.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provides evidenced-based individual, family, and group therapy to assigned patients following program curriculum provided by Clinical Director
    • Provide excellent individual, family and group therapy to assigned patients through use of evidence-based practices (CBT, ME, TFCBT, SFT, DBT etc.)
    • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA compliance
    • Maintain all required licenses, certifications and professional liability insurance
    • Formulate both MH and SA disorder diagnosis using DSM-5
    • Effectively uses therapeutic interventions to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plan goals and objectives to successfully complete treatment
    • Effectively prepare patient for maintaining sobriety post treatment
    • Demonstrates sufficient comprehension of Co-Occurring Disorders and effective treatment approaches
    • Effectively uses therapeutic interventions to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans, goals, and objectives and successfully complete treatment
    • Maintain referent contact weekly or as required by Clinical Director
    • Consistently identifies areas for improvement within the department by studying data and developing, implementing and documenting plans for improvement and outcomes
    • Maintains positive and collaborative relationships with all staff
    • Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews
    • Maintains healthy boundaries with patients and staff
    • Asks for and accepts feedback from supervisors
    • Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients
    • Communicates significant patient developments to supervisor
    • Participates in Quality Improvement activities and contributes to the success of the organization
    • Pursues professional development through participation in education and training programs
    • Contributes positively to the morale of other staff
    • Complete all required documentation ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, state regulations, CARF, Joint Commission standards and Medical Needs Criteria. This includes the following documents:
    • Bio-psychosocial Assessment
    • Integrated Summary
    • Initial Treatment Plan
    • ASAM Paperwork
    • Integrated Summary
    • Comprehensive Problem List
    • Integrated Master Treatment Plan and Updates
    • Individual, family and group therapy session notes
    • Discharge summary

EXPERIENCE :
    • Experience in working with adolescents and young adults struggling with Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health
    • Prefer 1 or more years of experience in trauma focused work, accelerated resolution therapy, and/or EMDR.
    • Experience in providing community-based services a plus
    • Passion for helping families and adults suffering with Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health a plus
    • Knowledge and application of utilizing social service systems (Medicaid, Social Security, Corrections, etc.) highly preferred
    • Knowledge and experience in Joint Commission Standards and/or CARF Standards
    • Knowledge of insurance and managed care expertise

    • Strong ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle highly confidential information with professionalism
    • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting
    • Must have excellent supervisory skills, and exceptional soft skills, such as relationship-building, communications, listening, negotiation and diplomacy
    • Must have strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and teambuilding skills
    • Must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational skills and be flexible
    • Must have the ability to communicate effectively via phone or in person
    • Ability to conceptualize from a systems perspective
    • Actively participates in performance management and coaching
    • Demonstrates respect for consumer confidentiality practices
    • Must possess the ability to learn and/or operate relevant computer operating system environments, and the ability to operate a variety of office equipment (fax machine, copier, scanner, computer, telephone system, postage meter, etc.)
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
    • Show appreciation for and ability to respond to cultural differences, and adjust communication practices accordingly in order to minimize cross-cultural misunderstandings
    • Consistent work attendance and compliance with scheduled work hours (excludes approved FMLA absences)
    • Responsible for complying with Lotus Healing Centers Inc. Corporate Compliance Program as it applies to individual job duties, the department, and the company
    • Must comply with all Lotus Healing Centers Inc. policies and procedures
    • Exercise due diligence to prevent, detect, and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents
    • Must possess/maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
    • Must have reliable transportation to oversee programming and/or attend training and/or meetings
    • Display a positive work ethic

    • Ability to be physically mobile (stand, walk, reach, climb, bend) and also the ability to sit for prolonged periods throughout work hours
    • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 25 or more pounds
    • Must be able to respond appropriately and effectively in crisis situations by using good judgment and following Lotus Behavioral Health protocols.
