To assist current members and potential members with their financial needs using Integrity Service and Member Advantage techniques and performing a variety of duties in support of branch operations including, but not limited to, opening new accounts, closing accounts, processing member transactions, assisting members with lending needs and responding to member needs for information and assistance with their credit union business. Is responsible for maintaining compliance with all required regulations and policies, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answering questions about products and services and resolving problems that are within their authority levels. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to Senior or Manager possessing the necessary authority level. Identifies cross-sell opportunities and offers products and services to members. Conducts new member follow-ups to ensure accounts are performing as expected and to identify additional member needs.
  • Receives and processes financial transactions, including, but not limited to deposits, withdrawals and loan payments. Sells negotiable instruments. Balances cash drawer and makes settlement of branch activities. Based on other branch assignments, may be responsible for balancing such items as branch vault and negotiable items.
  • Assists members with the loan application process. Works with members to evaluate their loan needs and submits loan application using credit union’s loan origination system. Assists with evaluation supplemental new account and loan reports to help identify opportunities for additional services that may meet members’ needs.
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties including serving as 'back up' greeter, typing, filing, computer input and answering the telephone.

  • have a satisfactory credit history
  • have basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • have good communication skills
  • be willing to provide prompt, accurate, courteous, friendly, timely and professional service to all members and ECCU employees.
  • be willing to maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and work environment
  • be willing to maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness
  • prior cash handling experience is a plus
