Job Description Summary
This position is funded through a grant awarded to Goodwill of North Central Wisconsin (GNCW.) This contract award extends through June 30, 2025, with the possibility of program continuation beyond that time. Fox Valley Technical College is part of a consortium that includes GNCW and Rawhide Youth Services to focus on job training delivered for at-risk students through a trauma-informed lens. This position will be a Fox Valley Technical College employee and is responsible for assessing the career and program needs of potential students and collaborating with the consortium partners and internal FVTC teams to provide an opportunity for career success. Additionally, this position is responsible for tracking student progress and assisting with the Workforce Innovation Grant (WIG) grant reporting requirements.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOBS FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinate the FVTC onboarding process with the grant participants and assist in establishing educational and career objectives.
  • Collaborate with the grant partners during onboarding and throughout each participants' Career EXCELerate educational journey.
  • Support participants by referring them to the appropriate College resources to accomplish academic goals.
  • As appropriate, develop, communicate, and monitor admissions, course supply and other expenditures for participants in accordance with FVTC policies and in compliance with federal, state, and other budgetary guidelines.
  • Develop communication solutions, marketing strategies and other promotional plans regarding grant activities. These may include print-based, web-based, and other media.
  • As needed, manage project statistical data for grant, federal and/or state reporting purposes.
  • Track participant progress in their program courses and collaborate with Rawhide and GNCW to provide support in that progress.
  • Use the provided technology for tracking and grant reporting purposes.
  • Actively participate in meetings with grant partners with the goal of providing the best support and opportunities possible for the program participants.
  • Collaborate with GNCW, FVTC instructional teams, and employer partners in proper employment placement.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary for effective project administration and participant support.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a field related to education, administration, or human service; AND,
  • Minimum of three years of demonstrated, direct occupational experience with education plan development and goal setting required; AND,
  • Demonstrated experience in building relationships with clients and understanding their diverse life situations with the demonstrated ability to assist them in their process of enrolling educational services and assisting in obtaining other support services.
  • Demonstrated experience working cooperatively with community agencies and developing inter-agency procedures with common clients; AND,
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma informed care and impact of trauma strongly preferred; OR,
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
  • Valid driver's license, with willingness and ability to travel to various locations within the region served by the contract.

Additional Information

Pay: $52,200.00 - $78,400.00 per year.

Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data. Note: Internal applicants' wage will be based upon the applicable compensation structure.
