Travail Collective is currently searching for a Maintenance Worker to join our team in downtown Robbinsdale. The Maintenance Worker will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities. This could include basic plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, snow removal, and other building systems.

This position is currently part-time, mostly on-call hours.

Desired Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years general maintenance experience
• Effective communication skills
• Superior time management skills
• Ability to work well independently
• Previous experience servicing kitchen equipmement a plus

What You’ll Be Doing

• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs
• Performs general repairs including repairing cabinets, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures such as faucets and toilets
• Cleaning such as window washing and power washing exterior areas
• Assists in setting up and tear down (Patio, rooftop)
• Schedule routine checks for fire alarms/ fire extinguishers, ensure working condition
• Replace HVAC filters
• Shoveling and snow removal
• Grounds keeping
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems
• Cleans specialized equipment and assists with upkeep of the facilities
• Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors
• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well independently

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous maintenance experience

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• Create and maintain a positive and communicative relationship with coworkers
