Job Description


The PS Logistics Planning Manager is responsible for all Source, Make & Deliver activities in ChP for all PS Products (EV14, HDEV5, HDEV6, HDP5 and SMG). This position manages all PS activities regarding Inventory, Freight, Leveling, Delivery Performance and is a key member of the Value Stream Team to achieve cost and performance goals. Additionally, the PS Planning Manager will be expected to be a key contributing member of the PS International Production Network (IPN) Community, with Lead Plants in Bamberg, Homburg & Hildesheim.


Qualifications


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and develop Charleston planning team
  • Create and drive plans for continued improvements of logistics planning processes.
  • Direct and manage plant policies, objectives and initiatives
  • Provide strategic guidance, information, and feedback for team decision making.
  • Hire, coach and mentor direct reports.
  • Communicate key initiatives, direction and vision to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify connections between situations and key issues in complex operating environment
  • Ensure logistics performance to satisfy both internal and external customer needs.
  • Actively market and promote plant operational capabilities and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to existing work standards and processes to meet quality/delivery targets.
  • Set priorities in an effective manner to assure completion of all assignments successfully and within allotted time frames.
  • Key Value Stream representative for Logistics Planning activities
  • ChP representative in the IPN for topics related to volume allocations, production planning and supplier allocations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS degree (engineering or supply chain related preferred), minimum 5 years prior Logistics or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced / proven project management experience
  • A comprehensive knowledge of BPS / lean logistics concepts.
  • Experience working within an International Production Network (IPN) with an established network
  • Ability to steer an international production facility, with various stakeholders abroad
  • Effective interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • SAP MRP experience preferred, MS Office proficiency
  • Previous knowledge of emerging technologies related to Logistics, such as I4.0, ProCon, Digi@LOP, SAC Analytics Cloud Dashboards, Kinaxis, etc. preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and experience in using problem solving techniques such as 8D, 5 Why, CIP
  • High level of teamwork, customer focus, and initiative
  • Flexible (welcome and adaptable to change), including working hours
  • Discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Able to identify, analyze and resolve complex problems.
  • Must have a high sense of urgency, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
