We are currently searching for hard working Class A commercial drivers to operate our late model year tractors and trailers as a bulk grocery store delivery driver (DD Route Operator).

What will I be doing?

At HP Hood, our trusted team of Class A Drivers in this role are responsible for safely delivering products to our various grocery stores. The normal duties include pushing and pulling stacks of milk; unloading trucks using a milk hook; delivering product to a designated location at the customer account; loading empty cases into the trailer and more.

Qualifications

What skills, background, and behaviors must I possess?

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull up to 240 lbs. frequently.
  • Basic math skills
  • 0 -1 year of commercial driving experience
  • Current, valid CDL A
  • Reading & writing proficiency (English language) and ability to identify colors.
  • 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the past 4 years or driving school training certificate. Graduation from an accredited truck driving school will count as 1 year of required experience.
  • No major preventable accidents of any personal or professional in the last 3 years.
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle record review.
  • No DUI in the last 10 years.

What shifts are our shifts?

Rotating 5-day work week schedule (To include Saturday/Sunday)

  • Start times: 2:00am
  • Route: Delivering to various grocery stores
  • Stops: 5-6 stops per day
  • Home every night
  • A person in this role must be able to work weekends (including Sunday's) and holidays when scheduled.
  • Overtime available contingent upon business needs.
