Position Summary: Assists in all central loan operations functions including booking loans, assisting with payments and payoffs, loan maintenance, etc. Assists in post-closing booking and document review. Position is primarily focused on ensuring data integrity and quality of loan information. Maintains exceptional customer relations, provides timely assistance and promotes Bank products and services whenever possible. Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Maintains a high level of customer service through proactive communication with internal customers, i.e. loan officers, assistants, and other team members.
  • Works in a team environment in an effort to achieve overall bank goals and objectives.
  • Performs routine loan post-closing documentation review for accuracy and adherence to loan policy and federal and state regulations.
  • Performs daily functions related to daily tracking items in the lending process.
  • Provides updates to loan staff regarding exception items.
  • Books loans and performs loan maintenance on the core system. Posts loan advances, payments and payoffs to loans as requested.
  • Reviews loans on the core system to ensure the loans are booked on the core system accurately.
  • Assists customers and staff and others over the phone with loan related questions.
  • Provides support to other team members as assigned by Department Head.
  • Periodic travel may be required for committee meetings and training, as applicable.
  • Understands Federal, State and Union State Bank rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Supervisor Responsibilities: N/A Education and Experience Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent required. Previous loan processing experience preferred; previous retail customer service preferred. Understand Federal, State and Union State Bank rules and regulations. Bank related courses strongly recommended. Specific Skills Required: Ability to communicate effectively with people both internally and externally. Background in loan administration and management. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to identify and resolve problems. Computer skills to include proficiency in Adobe, Word and Excel programs. Leadership skills desired. Organizational and problem-solving skills required. Ability to work with all levels within the organization. Strong people skills required. Must be detail oriented, organized and able to handle multiple tasks. Able to handle confidential information and positively represent the company. Competencies: Customer service and responsiveness, leadership presence, problem solving, developing/improving processes, team building, approachability, customer focus, informing, and measuring work and performance standards. System Accesses: LaserPro, FiServ Precision, Baker Hill, nCino, etc. Equipment Used: Office equipment which includes computer, multi-line phone system, multi-function unit, and imaging scanner. Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment. Position requires prolonged (90%) sitting, occasional (10%) light lifting (up to 50lbs) and moving of department materials and equipment. Constant and repetitive use of arms and hands below shoulder level for computer usage; Travel to other locations as needed or assigned.
