Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor
Department: Property Operations

Reports to: Director Of Engineering

Job Purpose: Responsible for the landscape/ground maintenance of the property.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintenance of grounds including purchase of materials and equipment as needed, selection and scheduling of vendor services, tracking expenses, define irrigation schedule, define maintenance schedules, repairs, mowing, weeding, planting, sod removal and installation, fertilization and pesticide applications, etc.
2. Maintain records of all chemical applications. Communicate landscape status/goals to Director of Engineering. Aid in development of landscape/grounds budget.
3. Schedule landscape/grounds team members activities, conduct performance evaluations. Select, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel team members according to Hilton standards.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• Compliance with budgetary guidelines. • Follow safety procedures. • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures. • Effectively manager time. • Ensure prompt and courteous service to all guests to ensure positive guest experience.

Assimilate into The Hilton Family PRIDE/CARE culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of PRIDE/CARE. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to teach safety requirements to landscape/grounds team.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
• Skilled in areas of carpentry, painting, plumbing, use of all landscape/ground maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of the proper use of all equipment and chemicals.

EDUCATION - High School Diploma; Horticulture Degree or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE - Two to three years experience in commercial site maintenance.
