TITLE: INTEL

JOB GOAL: To provide first-level technology support.

REPORTS TO: System Support Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

1. Completed at least 2 years of study or related experience.

2. Computer proficiency. This includes hardware and software used by Rockdale County Public Schools.

3. Ability to travel to more than one school.

4. Available for flexible scheduling throughout the working year’s calendar.

5. Physical demands – must be able to stand and walk the majority of the day; lift and carry twenty (20) to thirty (30) pounds frequently, and up to sixty (60) pounds occasionally; push or pull same amounts frequently. Must be able to climb ladders to remove/replace/repair modern technologies. Job also requires frequent bending, stooping, and crawling.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Is present at work everyday and arrives at assigned time according to schedule established by Director of Technology.

2. Demonstrate an attitude and demeanor that contributes to an atmosphere of harmony and goodwill in the work place.

3. Maintain hardware and software inventory, including state inventory, for assigned schools.

4. Troubleshoot local school computer hardware and software problems, decides solutions, and coordinates repairs with Helpdesk and outside vendors when necessary.

5. Process and respond to entries made in the district level helpdesk database.

6. Provide assistance to teachers and staff on use of computers and modern equipment.

7. Coordinate hardware and software changes with the system technology department.

8. Install software as needed or directed.

9. Prepare, maintain, and repair all technology equipment.

10. Assist with network administration, where applicable.

11. Acquire and maintain Dell Direct Client Foundation Certification.

12. Attend approved training sessions, staff development activities, and required meetings.

13. Comply with all requirements for mandatory reporting of child abuse, illegal harassment, or any criminal activity for which the employee becomes aware.

14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
