Major Responsibilities:
Determines client's needs, urgency and level of service through phone triage. Provides clients with information about EAP services and other referral options based on their identified need.
Connects client with services through EAP scheduling or direct telephone link to other services.
Consults with the Manager, Clinical Services or an onsite EAP counselor regarding high risk cases.
Identifies and reports to the Supervisor EAP, instances where client needs were not met and where process/service improvements would increase the level and quality of services provided to both internal and external customers.
Documents, collects and provides required statistics and information for quality improvement purposes. Participates in continuous quality improvement process.
Provides information to affiliate and care coordination providers about the EAP department processes and procedures. Provides information as necessary for planning and fiscal responsibility.
Responsible for support work which may include but is not limited to filing, typing, copying, organization of clinical information and cutting authorizations.
Demonstrates openness and willingness to develop own skills related to position through participation in job-related training, seminars and workshops.
Positively contributes to the growth and development of the Mission, Vision and Values of Aurora Health Care.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
None Required.

Education Required:
High School Graduate.

Experience Required:
Typically requires 2 years of experience in a behavioral health related field that includes experiences in customer service.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Demonstrated organizational skills and able to work within identified timeframes.
Ability to work well independently as well as cooperatively as member of a team.
Demonstrates above average customer service skills.
Effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with a diverse group of customers.
Basic skills in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products. Demonstrated ability in data entry.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Will frequently be required to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance, and will occasionally be required to lift over 25 lbs. with assistance.
Must be able to operate all equipment essential to performing duties of the job including, but not limited to, squeezing, turning, pushing and tearing.
Exposed to the following hazards on a continuous but inconsistent basis: mechanical and electrical.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders and twist.
Must be able to quickly respond without warning to emergencies or crisis.
May be exposed to verbal or physical outbursts from clients and/or their family members.
