Our interior products include instrument panel systems, door panels, airbag covers, sidewall trim, garnishment molding systems, and consoles. Exterior products include front and rear bumper fascias and systems, body side moldings, grille opening panels and reinforcements. Our exterior products also include large body panels, such as hoods and doors. In addition, we produce many specialty vehicles such as the SV 9C for SV Motors as well as several special-edition, second-stage vehicles for market niches such as the military. We serve OEMs and other Tier 1 suppliers in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction and support of the Lead Process Technician, the position will apply knowledge of injection and compression processing and controls technologies to new and existing processes to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness. The Process Technician will support root cause analysis and team problem solving activities. This position is directly responsible for injection and compression process verification.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for machine start-ups.
  • First response to all machine, robot, thermolater and secondary equipment alarms.
  • Ensure machines and robots are running at optimum efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot machine, mold and material problems.
  • Report to Production Supervisor any difficulties or problems requiring special attention.
  • Responsible for the accurate completion of process verification, tool reports and error proofing checks as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining the appearance of all thermolaters, robot control Stations, DME units etc.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement (ideas and suggestions).
  • Servo and variable frequency drive hardware and software.
  • Robot set up and programming.
  • Vision systems set up and maintenance.
  • Support Autonomous Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance
  • Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • General machine safety, electrical safety and machine guarding: high level of safety awareness (OSHA, NEC and RIA).
  • Supports Quality System for ISO/TS16949 2009/IATF including but not limited to Corrective and Preventative Actions

Qualification and Experience:

  • Plastic Injection molding background with a minimum of three years of experience in plastics processing.
  • Must be experienced in mold set-ups, trouble shooting, exposure to maintenance problems and be familiar with state-of-the-art controls on machines and robots.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
