The Challenge:
Warnings about cyber threats are everywhere and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to government agencies and military organizations. In all of this “cyber noise”, how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you – build your knowledge as an information security risk specialist who knows how to break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.

As an information security risk specialist on our team, you’ll work with DoD organizations to discover their cyber risks, understand policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You’ll get technical, environmental, and personnel details from on-site team members to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll help your team guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, whitepapers, and milestones. You’ll work on translating security concepts for your client so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission critical systems. You Have:

• 2+ years of experience with auditing moderately complex information system applications and with conducting STIG audits and enterprise level vulnerability scans

• Experience with writing RMF or JSIG artifacts, including System Security Plans, Plan of Actions & Milestones, Incident Response Plans, Contingency Plans, Risk Assessment Reports, Security Controls Traceability Matrix, Network architecture diagrams, and Configuration Management Plans

• Experience with using ACAS, SCAP, or SPLUNK

• Experience with implementing NIST Risk Management Framework

• Top Secret clearance

• HS diploma or GED

• CompTIA Security+ CE certification

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guidance (JSIG)

• Experience with working in Special Access Program or Sensitive Compartmented Information environments

• Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware or Hyper-V

• TS/SCI clearance

• Bachelor's degree

• ISC2 CISSP certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
