Job Description Summary:
  • Under the direction of the Director of Informatics, the Clinical Data Architect Manager (CDAM) is responsible for understanding the entire Florida Cancer Specialists data journey pertaining to Data as a Service (DaaS) service line creation, self-service and business intelligence reporting.
  • Leading the architecture and engineering team in an agile scrum environment, the Clinical Data Architect Manager clears roadblocks for team members and makes determination regarding swarming and shifting priorities.
  • The clinical data architect must possess expert clinical data integration and data modeling knowledge that is respected at the enterprise level and recognized as an authoritative resource across the organization.
  • The CDAM is primary author for the enterprise data model (conceptual/logical/physical) with metadata.
  • The CDAM is a passionate data steward that serves as a regarded mentor to all data analysts, developers and scientists to provide transformational Informatics DaaS business optimization and revenue generating use cases.
  • The CDAM is a leader, manager and influential member of the FCS team in establishing data governance across the enterprise.
  • The CDAM assists the Informatics team to detail project design, development, integration, verification, validation for release readiness in observance of regulatory and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Over a decade of healthcare informatics domain experience is required, with a strong preference for oncology specific data, and deep knowledge of data architectures, platforms and industry trends in digital health.
Position Qualifications/Requirements
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Certifications/Licenses:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Previous Experience
  • 10+ years in an active healthcare big-data integration modeling experience with multiple heterogenous source data integration with data cleansing and reference/master data management on an enterprise data warehouse to create a centralized ‘trusted data’ set for data analysis.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory capacity preferred
  • Technical competencies within data modeler, expert SQL to create/maintain DB objects, Team Foundational System (TFS), microservices, query/load required data with data governance tools.
  • Environment competencies with on prem, data centers and Microsoft Azure cloud system tools (including Data Bricks) with appropriations for disaster recovery development and production systems.
  • Domain competencies with electronic health record (EHR) (e.g. OncoEMR), practice management (e.g. Centricity), next-generation sequencing (NGS), clinical trial management (CTM), pharmacy specific to antineoplastic medications and other healthcare ancillary systems.
  • Core Capabilities:
  • Ability to evaluate and build effective Informatics, BI, database and development teams.
  • Superior understanding of clinical data and data quality needs in ambulatory oncology setting.
  • Work closely with Director of Informatics and business stakeholders to build products that will create the DaaS service line and transform the BI Reporting team.
  • Be disciplined in understanding growing and contracting business needs to refactor the team and tool sets to thoughtfully set up the Informatics team for success.
  • Computer Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required.
  • Profound competency in SSMS, SSRS, Power BI and (No)SQL required.
  • Knowledge of data quality best practices and tooling.
  • Travel:
  • Standard Core Workdays/Hours (specify weekends and call requirements):
  • Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
