Job Title: HR Payroll Analyst/HRIS

Location : Navasota, TX (on-site)

Reports to: Human Resources Director

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Payroll Analyst, you are results-oriented with a passion for ensuring great service to our associates and organization. You will work with a payroll team to provide expertise to our employees that includes payroll preparation and processing, completion and tracking of ongoing data audits, and maintenance and set up of employment taxes. The ideal candidate has in-depth payroll experience, payroll vendor reporting, tax knowledge and possesses a continuous improvement mindset. This role will service associate populations in the U.S.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to develop and implement payroll controls and procedures
  • Minimum 2 years of active payroll processing internally AND/OR with outside payroll vendor
  • Possess knowledge of payroll procedures, taxes and applicable country specific laws
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues independently, take initiative and accountability while applying sound judgement in decision making
  • Good relationship building with HR, payroll staff, technical teams and other HR teams and business leaders to ensure consistent quality service delivery
  • Excellent customer service focus and understanding of relationship practices
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Possess outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven history of handling confidential information with discretion
  • High School degree or years of equivalent experience
  • Experienced with Workday, UKG, Safeguard, ADP and other timekeeping and payroll software systems

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

  • Oversee Payroll time logs, time corrections, tax adjustments and other electronic, paper or interfaces related to company s ongoing payroll processes
  • Ensure payroll is closed accurately by performing all data collection, reconciliation, and application of payroll policies for area of responsibility
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization effectively be responding in a timely manner and providing friendly customer service
  • Document and maintain payroll procedures
  • Review and audit payroll hours, earnings, deductions, manual checks, taxes and any other item pertaining to payroll
  • Review and continually improve payroll processing effectively by responding in a timely manner
  • Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports on an as-needed basis
  • Address issues and provide resolution to payroll inquiries and inaccuracies
  • Ensure compliance with existing controls including internal audit, Flowserve Policies, payroll procedures and applicable country, state/province, city, county and local laws
  • Work with internal and external payroll systems including Safeguard, Workday, Kronos, ADP and various others connected to Payroll
  • Managing employee profiles and ensuring accuracy with regards to New Hires, Termination, Entitlements both permanent and temporary, commissions, expenses, etc.
  • Working closely with Payroll Vendor to ensure accurate and timely payrolls
  • Some benefit administration as needed in conjunction with new hires/terminations/transfers Assisting finance/accounting teams with various payroll and G/L reporting
  • Managing yearend tax items such as W-2, T-4, CAD Form 7, 3 WCB, WSIB, 1099, 1095-A and others
  • Preparing employment confirmation letters
  • Other activities as required by business
