Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager Job at Holiday Inn Express Mebane
Holiday Inn Express Mebane is looking for a housekeeping supervisor/manager to oversee the Housekeeping, Houseperson, and Laundry Staff. The primary responsibilities include:
· Hiring, training and retraining staff
· Scheduling staffing based on the need of the hotel
· Inventories and providing senior managers with items needed
· Understanding and implementing franchise standards
· Help maintain cost control and hotel standards
· Guest room inspections
· Cleaning rooms, if necessary to get the hotel ready for check in time
· Maintaining constant communications with the front desk staff as to available vacant and clean rooms.
· Ensuring all guest rooms are clean each day.
· Developing an individual as a room inspector where that person will work 3 days per week as a housekeeper and 2 days per week inspecting rooms and helping when there are strains on the staff
· Other Duties that are assigned by the Hotel General Manager and Assistant GM.
The ideal candidate does need to work some weekends but the goal would be working alternate weekends and have the inspector work the other weekends.
The Ideal candidate will be detailed orientated, have a can do attitude, works as part of a team for the success of the hotel and is willing to go the extra mile when needed . We envision this position to be a minimum 40 Hour a week position with some overtime.
