Group Exercise Instructor - Liberty Center

The certified Group Fitness Instructor will provide professional & motivating group classes designed for a diverse population and varying fitness levels, delivered in a safe and effective manner and in compliance with the YMCA of Rapid City’s standards and mission.

Classes are Monday – Sunday with varying times between 5:30am to 7:00 pm

Classes include but are not limited to:

Cycle

Yoga

Pilates

Dance Fitness

Refit

Marial Arts

Bootcamp

HIIT

Etc.

This person must:

• Must teach at least 2 classes per week.
• Be at least 18 years old and be in good physical condition.
• Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Has a YMCA Group Exercise Instructor certificate, or must have the willingness to acquire the training within 6 months of employment.
• Be able to maintain a positive attitude at all times, be reliable, willing to learn and have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts.
• Be passionate about the YMCA mission and vision and must personally advocate and demonstrate the core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring.
• Demonstrate solid leadership as demonstrated by a high level of loyalty and respect among those this person leads.
• Have CPR and First Aid Certification prior to or within 60 days of employment.
• Have an outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
