The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center has an opportunity for a Grant Budget Analyst (hybrid) position to join the Accounting & Finance Department. This position reports to the Sponsored Research Compliance Manager.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Review sponsored research proposal budgets (including revisions)
  • Populate proposal budgets in grant management system
  • Graduate student agreement (and amendment) drafting and accounting
  • Serve as backup for Sponsored Research Analyst (monthly IDC calculation and recording, deferred revenue, etc.)
  • Serve as backup for Sponsored Research Accountant (monthly invoicing)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Solid computer knowledge with proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel) and Outlook is required. Experience with InfoEd Grant Management Software is a bonus.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while demonstrating professionalism and respect
  • Actively contribute to a positive work environment

  • Outstanding organizations, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

  • Possess an associates degree (bachelors degree preferred) and minimum 5 years of experience. Experience in grant submission, regulations and compliance is preferred.
