As part of the Global Plant Systems team the candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership in manufacturing
execution, automation & control systems to manufacturing plants around the globe. The candidate will design, develop and
implement manufacturing execution, automation & control systems projects based on requirements gathered from key
stakeholders such as local plants, Regional Plant Systems teams, Global Engineering and Global Quality. The candidate will train
local systems teams on use and maintenance of the systems as well as provide troubleshooting support to foster and maintain
system utilization.


What you will do

  • As part of the global team, design, develop and implement new, more efficient digital processes and systems capabilities for the plants.
  • Provide technical leadership, advice and advanced troubleshooting support for globally implemented manufacturing systems projects.
  • Enforce standards that ensure global consistency of manufacturing and integration systems.
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with the local plant systems teams, Regional Plant Systems teams, Global
  • Engineering, Global IT and Global Quality.
  • Develop and maintain specifications, technical documentation, and procedures for manufacturing execution, automation & control systems, processes and equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or other Information Technology related degree
  • At least 5 years Engineering, Automation or IT supply chain
  • Proven troubleshooting skills with customer focus.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and core processes
  • Strong proficiency in manufacturing software products such as HMI development, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ISA-88 Batching software and historian software. AVEVA (Wonderware) product knowledge is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), preferably using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Basic understanding of SAP usage and SAP Transactions: Production Orders, Production Confirmations, Material Movements (Goods Receipts and Goods Issues), SAP Quality Management
  • Basic understanding of: Statistical Process Control (SPC) Concepts, Operational Excellence Standards and Expectations (Factory Performance and Reliability, EOHS Standards, Quality Standards/Regulatory Requirements),
  • Plant Metrics (throughput, Operating Efficiency (OE), unplanned downtime (UPDT))
  • Ability to configure and test plant systems
  • Strong training skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, continuous improvement processes and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
  • Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and industrial instrumentation
  • Working knowledge of SAP MII software.
  • Working knowledge of analytics and reporting tools such as Tableau, Domo, SQL Reporting Services

Salary Range $86,400 - $126,840 USD

Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
