Job Duties

• Serves as a trusted business advisor to the Multi-Chem global product service line Vice President on key financial issues, financial performance, and strategy execution, including commercial business insight.
• Influences strategic decisions and prioritizes investments in capital, technology, and commercial opportunities.
• Partners with operations to improve financial performance (return on capital, operating profit, inventory, free cash flow, etc.)
• Collaborates with accounting peers from supply chain, manufacturing, technology, reporting, and technical accounting to support business needs.
• Responsible for preparation, review, and accuracy of business activities within the department, including executing financial close activities, reviewing and updating business practices, performing internal control self-assessments, preparing forecasts and annual business plans, and performing ongoing process improvements.
• Responsible for interpreting and applying company policy and accounting principles to financial transactions for internal control compliance.

Requirements

• Completion of an accounting or business university degree and eight (8) years of progressive experience in finance or accounting related roles, preferably supporting senior business managers.
• Professional accounting certification and/or MBA preferred.
• Chemicals or oilfield services industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrates advanced functionality of common office environment, functional applications such as SAP and Hyperion/Essbase, and relevant business applications.
• Demonstrates project management skills and awareness of financial performance metrics such as return on capital, free cash flow, and CVA/NOVA.
• Strong knowledge in aspects of finance and accounting, internal controls and risk mitigation, company policy, financial analysis and statutory reporting, forecasting, and financial applications of varying complexity, as well as performance management and advanced levels of proficiency with industry and company acumen.
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams across a global, matrix-based organization.
