What you’ll do
Wieland Recycling - Granite City (formerly know as Totall Metal Recycling) currently has immediate openings for various manufacturing roles (including but not limited to Mobile Equipment Operators, Machine Operators, General Laborers, Forklift Operators, etc.) to perform semi-skilled functions to support manufacturing operations and production. These roles will be located at our Wieland Recycling facility in Granite City, IL.

Shift Schedule: M-F (6 am - 2:30 pm OR 7 am - 3:30 pm)

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Move materials using forklifts, transporters, pallet jacks, bobcats, etc.
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations, along with Company policies
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn in the manufacturing area
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Tasks can vary from day to day
• Be dependable with respect to attendance and tardiness
• Be willing to work overtime as needed

What you’ll need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Mechanically inclined, comfort level with using small hand tools
• Proven forklift driving experience
• Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to forklift operations
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally
• Ability to read and write English
