Full Time Medical Biller in Poughkeepsie, NY Job at People USA
Position Description:
Position: Medical Biller
Duties: The Medical Biller will coordinate and process all Medicaid billing functions. Staff should have a detailed understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, be extremely fast at problem-solving, and have experience. This position is to support People USA programs in all counties.
Coordinates the insurance billing function of the business office, and sees to the proper application of participant, insurance, and other payments.
Prepares weekly and monthly reports on third-party billings, accounts pending diagnoses, and late charges.
Performs Billing Clerk duties and coordinates and performs insurance follow-up procedures.
Performs other clerical or supervisory duties as assigned by the CFO
Training & Policies
Assist CFO with Care Coordination/Heath Home training including working with IFH to create a reconciliation of payment process
Assist with CORE implementation
Training Track for Billing training & MCOs contracts
Creation and maintenance of Billing How To Guide
Assisting with closings
Providing supporting documentation for audits
Requirements:
Proven experience as a team player and relevant administrative support experience
Ability to deal professionally, courteously, and efficiently with the public and to remain calm under stress
Knowledge of all confidentiality requirements regarding patients and strict maintenance of proper confidentiality on all such information
Knowledge of medical terminology
In-depth un understanding of entire MS Office Suite
HS Diploma
Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills
Professional level verbal and written communication skills
Revenue cycle expierence desired Reports to CFO
