We are looking to hire multiple CDL drivers to drive for our company. CDL drivers must have a passenger endorsement.

Our base pay starts at $19 an hour and after 30 days you have the opportunity for a pay increase. This job requires dependable people who are always punctual and mindful of their passengers' safety and needs. A safe driving record with at least 2 years of experience driving commercially is required.

Basic Job Requirements include:

• Must be at least 25 years of age with at least 2 years of commercial driving experience to be eligible for inclusion on insurance policy
• Must pass a background check (paid for by Reindeer Shuttle, Inc.)
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check (paid for by Reindeer Shuttle, Inc.)
• Must pass a DOT 5-panel drug test (paid for by Reindeer Shuttle, Inc.)
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• (Preferred, Not Required) Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License with passenger endorsement. Air brakes optional but preferred. We will consider applications from drivers with a standard operator license with a for-hire endorsement, but preference will be given to those with a CDL.
• A current and valid Medical Examiner's Certificate certifying that you are physically fit to drive a commercial motor vehicle
• Strong sensory skills, such as good hearing, dexterity, and good eyesight
• Must own and be able to operate a smartphone with a data plan enabled (wifi is available on our shuttles; communication is a critical part of this job)
• Dependability: our passengers rely on us to pick them up on time, every time; tardiness is not tolerated
• Good people skills: ability to work respectfully with coworkers and customers alike
• Listening skills to work with a diverse customer base
• Trustworthiness: our drivers handle money on a regular basis
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs without assistance when loading/unloading luggage
• Ability to communicate via hands-free headset while driving
• Ability to perform meaningful pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles, and maintain proper vehicle cleanliness and overall operability
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for up to 8 hours at a time

Preference will be given to applicants with:

• Flexible schedule availability
• Previous experience with an airport shuttle service
• Familiarity with Chicago and Indianapolis, especially area airports
• Familiarity with Purdue University, our pickup and drop-off locations, and the greater Lafayette area
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• High "Tetris" scores (Seriously. Packing luggage gets interesting sometimes.)
• Strong technology skills
• Familiarity with smartphone apps used for GPS navigation and communication
• Familiarity with Department of Transportation regulations for Hours of Service and Compliance, Safety, and Accountability
• Strong mechanical expertise and instincts

Pay: $14.50 per hour plus the opportunity to earn even more!
