Foundation and Community Relations Program Manager


Job Description:

The Foundation and Community Relations Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing community outreach across Essentia's service area with a special focus on the I35 corridor. This position works to promote Essentia Health's image in a positive and community-oriented way and will develop and facilitate relationships and partnerships for both Essentia Health and Essentia Health Foundation. This position will have responsibility to the Moose Lake Foundation Board and community work in the Brainerd Lakes area. In addition, responsibilities include developing strategies for effective donor engagement and stewardship as well as developing, and facilitating partnerships demonstrating Essentia's commitment to the community.
Education Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates, organizes, and leads efforts to represent Essentia Health favorably in the communities we serve
  • Works with community-based organizations to form partnerships and develop programs, events, and new initiatives to enhance Essentia's strategic objectives. Focuses initiatives on health and wellness needs and concerns of our communities
  • Leads efforts that promote goodwill and foster relationships with community leaders
  • Leads process administration for Essentia Health community giving program for designated geography. This includes coordinating the approval process, screening requests for financial support, obtaining approvals from the leadership committees, and directing the disbursement of funds. Strategically leveraging Essentia's contributions to specific, identified community needs and in support of vital community partnerships
  • Works to connect Essentia leadership and employees with community board service and volunteer opportunities
  • Builds and maintains relationships with the neighborhood organizations surrounding our facilities in the communities we serve
  • Highlight Essentia's community giving through robust internal and external communications
  • Represents Essentia Health at community meetings and functions
  • Performs Essentia-wide duties as requested by the designated Essentia leader
  • Upholds Essentia Health's mission, vision, values, and ethical standards and demonstrates the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures
  • Planning and leading Foundation Board meetings in Moose Lake and Sandstone
  • Cultivating donors and achieving fundraising goals in Moose Lake, Sandstone, as assigned by Development Director
  • Planning, executing and monitoring results for foundation campaigns including but not limited to: annual fundraising campaigns, yearend appeal, etc.
  • Effectively track moves management thru use of CRM
  • Accountability for local relationship building and local community engagement
    will require this position to live in or nearby the Minnesota geography of focus
    • Moose Lake, Sandstone, Cloquet, or Brainerd.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field or equivalent years of related professional experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years community relations, strategic relationship management, business development, marketing or communications experience in a health care organization and/or consumer-oriented environment
  • Experience in budgeting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree
  • Experience in grants management, strategic philanthropy, or employee volunteerism
  • Experience in process improvement and program administration

Pay Range
$62358 - $93538 / year

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.

as needed
