Work Schedule: Weekdays 2:30 pm to 1:00 am. Additional hours if needed. Overtime may be required.

POSITION SUMMARY

Work as part of a team having responsibility for pump assembly, test, and mount. The specifics to this position include being able to perform tasks conducted by the team such as mechanical assembly, test set up, testing and data entry, pump and driver mounting. The position requires a working knowledge of pumps and pump performance and the ability to assist and be directed by the pump test technician.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Set up the mechanical and electrical test configurations for pumps. Test pumps and enter the resulting data for review by engineering. Work with the pump test technician to coordinate work, setups, and priorities. Be able to perform the test technician work if needed.
  • Assembles pumps and prepares them for shipment.
  • Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process.
  • Shovel, sweep, or otherwise clean work areas.
  • Review work orders and blueprints to ensure work is performed according to specifications.
  • Determine work assignments and procedures.
  • Operate machinery and heavy equipment, such as overhead cranes and lifts.
  • Measure, align, and mount parts using tape measure, straight edge, and feeler gauges.
  • Comply with established safety policies and procedures. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment as directed. Use appropriate tools designed for their specific job tasks. Provide feedback related to hazard assessments and/or accident investigations.

  • Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job.
