Finish Blade Operator (Motor Grader) 975 Sparta Solar Job at Blattner Energy, Inc.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
-
Operates equipment generally on uneven surfaces to maintain haul roads and assist in building new roads
-
Drives blade and moves levers to regulate height and angle of blade, lowers scarifier that loosens packed soil to permit grading, and to tilt front wheels of grader when making sharp turns
-
Drives blade in successive passes over working areas usually observing reference stakes to level surface to specified grade
-
Feels levers and sound of engine to determine depth of cut
-
Operates equipment safely both forward and reverse directions in close quarters with other heavy equipment

May perform fine or rough grading
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

One year certificate/diploma from a technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Ability to travel or relocate for the duration of project.
