We are currently hiring for a financial analyst to join our Deerfield Beach finance and accounting team. In this role you will support the team in a variety of ways; compiling/analyzing financial information, cost data/trend and variance analysis, assisting with detailed monthly and annual reporting and more.
Essential Duties

• Collects and analyzes financial and cost data, estimates costs, and monitors changes through highly complex Excel worksheets.
• Determines standard costs and investigates variances.
• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, prepares month end journal entries and reconciliations for cost and inventory.
• Ensures that all relevant product costs have been captured and are checked.
• Prepares detailed management reports that convey relevant and meaningful information about the effects of product mixes, volumes, pricing, etc. on overall profitability of the Company's product lines and sub-categories with focus on margin analysis.
• Works with the Purchasing Department to analyze product cost trends based on underlying commodities.
• Plays key role on the preparation of monthly and annual reporting.
• Assist with Internal and External audits, monitor compliance with internal policies.
• Work proactively on being business partner to all functional areas.
• Assists with related special projects, as required.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Business or Finance or equivalent.
• Five years accounting related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environment and in public accounting is highly valued.
• The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Requires proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; AS-400 preferred.
• The ability to use the following notions easily: accounting cycle, general ledger, knowledge of the various books of accounts, reconciliation work, calculating the depreciation, analyzing the financial statements, etc.
• Thorough knowledge of most used reporting tools (including Hyperion, Excel pivot table) and ERP finance modules (i.e. SAP or Oracle). Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is an asset.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills, including ability to listen, process information, then re-communicate instruction and direction in one-on-one and group settings, including (discussions, presentations, reports, and negotiations, as applicable).
